I Went on My First Cruise, And Going on Another in 2020.

When I lived in Florida, me and my family always went to Cocoa Beach; and in order to get there we would drive right through Port Canaveral and I would always see the ships, but would say to myself, "I will never get on a ship!.." but little did I know years later and after losing my mom I started living my life and stepping outside of my comfort zone. In March of this year I booked a cruise with my dad on the Carnival Liberty and we went on a 3 day cruise to the Bahama's and it was fun, so much fun that we are booking again around the sametime in 2020 with other family. I'll only cruise between March & May to be honest. I know the waters are a little more calm and when we cruised in March I barely felt the ship moving. When we left Port Canaveral I did feel a little movement, a few dips as I was walking, but other than that it was a smooth ride from Orlando to the Bahama's, and back.
When we got to the Bahama's we got off the ship and did some shopping. The prices were very good and with some people you can negotiate the prices, but be careful. I noticed some people in the Bahama's are very pushy and may take you trying to negotiate as trying to cheat them and may get a little aggressive. For shopping in the Bahama's I probably spent a good $80-$90 dollars and that's only because I left most of my money on this ship since I was expecting some big sales on the ship that didn't really happen. They did have a $10.00 sale but that's about it. Next time we go I probably take most of my money off the ship so I can do more shopping. I saw a lot of stuff I liked that I couldn't get.
I didn't do any Excursions, but definitely will on our next cruise, so if anyone know of any good ones please let me know in the comment section below. We'll either be on Royal Caribbean or back on Carnival. One thing we did do was walk to Junkanoo Beach and it was absolutely beautiful. The water was clear and from time to time I actually saw tropical fish swimming. I did see lots of people with snorkeling gear, so now I know to buy me a kit from Five and Below along with an underwater camera.
